Nicole Peacock, Registered Massage Therapist

Hello, my name is Nicole, and I am a Registered Massage Therapist at Clayton Heights Sports & Therapy Center. I received my degree after completing a 3-year program at the West Coast College of Massage Therapy in New Westminster, British Columbia. This is the longest training program offered for massage therapists in North America, as British Columbia has the highest standards for RMTs, requiring 3000 hours of course work instead of 1800 hours required in other jurisdictions.

I started as an RMT at a spa in South Surrey where I practiced Swedish Relaxation Massage as well as Trigger Point Release, Muscle Stripping, Golgi Tendon Release, Myofascial Release, Muscle Energy, Gentle Joint Manipulation, and many other modalities.

After taking my first year of sciences at Simon Fraser University, I took some time to travel Europe and join a mountaineering program in Schladming, Austria. Soon after, I traveled to a hospital in China with my mother for stem cell treatments to help improve her condition of multiple sclerosis. It was at this time I was introduced to the many modalities that could improve her condition such as massage therapy. I found this to be a perfect fit for my interest in health, the body, science and a hands-on approach.

I have also spent the last 5 years life guarding, teaching swimming lessons of all ages and instructing aqua fit classes at the Surrey Sport and Leisure Complex in Surrey. When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with my family, swimming, water skiing, wakeboarding, snowboarding, playing volleyball, and cooking.
