Vijay Raj

Vijay Raj is an internationally trained physical therapist with over 12 years of experience treating various musculoskeletal conditions, sports injuries, and pre- and post-operative conditions. He holds a bachelor's degree in physiotherapy, a master's degree in physiotherapy (orthopaedics), and fitness certifications from India.

Since graduating as Physiotherapist, Vijay has worked at multi-disciplinary and sports injury clinics, Long term Care home in Canada & India. He has gained a vast amount of clinical experience from working with clients ranging from sports players to elderly patients with chronic pain to motor vehicle accident victims and work-related injuries. Working alongside and learning from many experienced Physiotherapists, Osteopaths, Chiropractors and massage therapists has given him the tools to develop his holistic model of treatment.

His treatment approach involves working with clients to find the root cause and tailor solution to get them back to active life style. His treatment sessions largely involve combination of evidence based manual techniques such as soft tissue and joint mobilization, dry needling, electro-modalities, cupping and active component, etc. all targeted at client recovery and maximizing functions to get them back to what they love. He focuses not only on treatment but on educating clients to prevent injury and optimize their potential. Being into sports he has been through a few sports injuries of his own which has helped him to become a better therapist.

He loves treating a diverse group of clients with conditions like neck pain, back pain, knee pain, shoulder injuries, and other musculoskeletal complaints. He's inspired when clients get back to an active, pain-free life.

Vijay is fluent in English, Hindi and Punjabi. He loves cricket, swimming and yoga. He is passionate about helping people, continuous learning, staying fit and active. He lives by his favourite quote: “Life is not about finding yourself, Life is about creating yourself.”
